| Welcome to the 2008 Bedfordshire Country Show. The show has now become one of the main calendar events in Bedfordshire, bringing new attractions and things to see each year.
In 2008 we have new arena demonstrations as well as some old favourites. For the first time, Bob Hogg will dazzle you with his sheepdog handling display. The Pantavac gundog and ferret display team will introduce you to some country activities. Returning to the show we have the ever popular Joseph’s Amazing Racing Pigs as well as Mark Turnbull who always thrills with his demonstration of traditional Horse Logging. Magnificent Falconry displays will be provided by the English School of Falconry and you will be able to see at close hand some of the Oakley Hounds and the Beds and Bucks Beagles.
Within the showground there will be other new attractions to see. For the first time there will be a Food Court, giving you a chance to buy local produce including cheeses, fruit and vegetables, meats, home made preserves, specialty sausages and burgers and much more.

Also for the first time there will be a Field Sports Area. Here you will be able to talk to experts in Archery, Falconry, Shot Gun, Gun Dogs and Fly Fishing. There will be scope for you to have a go for a nominal fee.
More attractions will be taking place at the show with a Dog Show, Rabbit Show, Shetland Ponies and Carriage Driving. The popular Craft Tent will be on site as well as volunteers demonstrating Traditional Working Crafts. There will be Trade Stands for you to wander round and buy unusual gifts and items.
Set in the grounds of the magnificent Shuttleworth Mansion, this is a day out you cannot afford to miss. Also within the grounds, for an additional fee, you can visit the Bird of Prey Centre, the Shuttleworth Collection and the Swiss Gardens. All of these are world famous and award winning attractions.
Take time out to visit the Bedfordshire Country Show and enjoy a family fun day out in Bedfordshire. |
